Our monthly gatherings continue at the back of the Duke on November 24. Our Hallowe’en event was a huge success with about 30 people in attendance and the Duke cooking up a special Thai-themed vegan dish just for us. What’ll they do this time? Show up and find out!
Sally’s Roti Shop at 203 Wellington is reserving ALL ITS TABLES for us on November 17! Great vegan/vegetarian food, really reasonable prices, and space for about 20 people… sign up below!
There’s a “reserve a seat” option; once we have 20 people there, if you’re interested, try the “waiting list” option in case people drop out.
On OCTOBER 16, the Sleepless Goat is having its first-ever annual Harvest Dinner! This is a VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE event; a multi-course meal specially made by the Goat and focusing on seasonal foods and hearty dishes. If Kingston shows its support for this kind of venture, who knows what it could lead to? Tickets are $35 a head, but only $30 each if you buy for a group of two or more. Let’s sell this out! Encouraging local businesses and showing them vegans are good business only makes it better for us, and for local variety in our restaurants and choices.
237 Ontario St, Kingston, Ontario
On Oct 3rd cities all over the world will March as one voice to draw attention to the crisis facing these three species, and to call for an end of the practices that are pushing them towards extinction. The Global March for Elephants, Rhinos & Lions is the largest international event focused on saving our planet’s vanishing wildlife.
An elephant is brutally killed every 15 minutes!
A rhino is poached every 9-11 hours!
Lions are being slaughtered for ‘canned hunts!’
Unless we take action NOW, elephants will vanish from the wild forever, in less than 10 years.
Join KVN and KAT as we raise awareness, and our voices, against the war that is taking the lives of our Elephants, Rhinos and Lions!
